Some good news: it looks like the travelling and somewhat adventurous public will be able to see Yellowstone by Winter, after all. Bloomberg News is
reporting that the administration is set to allow cleaner snowmobiles, and fewer of them, but the Park wil stay open to those who aren't Olympic-quality athletes.
Three years ago, I went to Yellowstone in January, and it was a sight. The thermal features were a bit of a disappointment, since they had so much more steam, but the wildlife was abundant, and the Buffalo didn't seem to mind the snowmobiles at all. Maybe because they outweighed us all combined.
